It is rather very difficult to define corruption but in a narrow sense, corruption means to use public power for private gain in a wrong manner, it is mostly concerned with bribery.
In today’s time every field is corrupt, corruption has grown with enormous rate everywhere from politician to policemen from corporate to government officials everyone is corrupt. Minister with an honest image can be counted on our finger tip, at one time bribe was paid for getting wrong work done but now it is been paid for getting right things done at right time(e.g. Passport).
Whole Indian administration is been polluted with scams and scandals, According to Transparency India report ‘India is among 55 of 106 countries which are hit by enormous corruption, Corruption in India leads to promotion not prison, corruption in India has wings not wheels as nation grows corrupt people also grow to invent new ways to cheat government and public.
There is an urgent need of political groups who believe nation-oriented programs rather than interest-oriented programs. Many new leaders when come into power declare their determination to remove corruption but soon they themselves become corrupt and start collecting huge wealth.
Everybody says there is so much corruption but why corruption is at this level because we tolerate corruption; there is a lack of strong protests against corruption, absence of public assembly to oppose corruption. Low salaries are provided to government officials which force them to head towards corruption.
Corruption is a cancer, which every Indian must try to cure. More and more fast session courts should be opened for speedy and inexpensive justice so that cases do not get longer in courts for years and justice is delivered sooner.
Corruption is more like diabetes, it can only be controlled, but not totally eliminated, it may not be possible to root out corruption form all levels but it is possible to contain it within tolerable limits.
